Big Blow For Australia In The T20 World Cup Journey, Superstar Likely To Be Ruled Out From The Tournament

In the middle of the T20 World Cup 2022, defending champion Australia has got another setback. The captain of the side Aaron Finch has got a hamstring injury and he is under scan for the upcoming group stage games.

Australia played its last game against Ireland and after aged Finch looked in great form where he smashed 63 runs in just 44 balls. He was the pioneer of Australians in the 42-run win over Ireland and for this he was picked as the man of the match at Gabba. Finch got this injury while fielding and he took off the field during the Powerplays. The Australian captain then did not enter the field again and the wicket-keeper batter Matthew Wade took the captaincy charges for the hosts. A scan will be done this morning and after this it will be determined if the batter plays in the upcoming games or not. The captain himself informed that it would be difficult for him to come again on the field if the injury gets serious.

Talking to the broadcasters, Finch said,””Little hammy twinge I think. I’ll get a scan tomorrow. Unfortunately, I’ve had a history with them so we’ll see how it goes.”

He further added,”It doesn’t feel too bad at the moment but generally overnight they can stiffen up. We’ll get a scan and get the full results. Very hopeful (of playing Afghanistan) but we’ll know more (Tuesday).”
