Former England paceman Stuart Broad believes that India’s star batter Virat Kohli deserves to win at least one IPL trophy.
Broad went all praise for Virat’s batting, hailing him as one of the best finishers of the game. In RCB’s previous encounter against the Punjab Kings, Virat Kohli was at his absolute best, scoring 77 of just 49 deliveries, which included 11 boundaries and two sixes.
In his recent interaction with Star Sports, Stuart Broad said, “I think all of us cricket fans want to see him lift the trophy. I’ve no doubt that, whether that’s this year or in years to come, I think he deserves it. He’s been a knight of Indian cricket, and he deserves it.”
Stuart broad praised Virat’s ability to finish matches for both RCB and India in pressure situations.
Speaking about the same, Stuart Broad said, “He is one of the best finishers as a batter in the world.
Anytime that he’s in a team, chasing anything around that 170-180 mark, he battles to get over the line so hard. He’s so calm; he’s seen it all. He hits around the wicket. Yeah. You gave him a couple chances? Yes, you gave a couple of chances yesterday, but if the opposition doesn’t take those chances, he makes you pay.”
Virat Kohli and RCB are set to face the Kolkata Knight Riders in their next encounter on March 29.
