BCCI vice President drops a massive statement on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Check out

The England versus India series is a real test for the young Indian team, which is led by Shubman Gill. Before the series started, the team was impacted by Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s retirements. Both players retired from Test matches. They had already retired from T20Is but are still playing in ODIs.

Rajeev Shukla, the vice-president of the BCCI, addressed the cricket board’s role in their retirements while in England with the Indian team. He said that while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are missed, their retirement was a personal choice, and the BCCI doesn’t push anyone to retire.

Shukla stated that the BCCI never tells a player to retire. He noted that everyone misses Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The choice to retire was up to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. We will always consider them to be great batsmen, he added.

Shukla mentioned they will miss both players but are happy that they are still available for ODIs.

Shukla said that young captain Shubman Gill has shown his ability, even though some people questioned his place on the team because he didn’t play well in past overseas games. Shukla noted his batting successes and applauded his performance.
