BCCI to make the Central Contract public soon, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer to..

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah are likely to keep their A+ grades in the BCCI central contracts, according to a report from Sports Tak. The BCCI is expected to release the final contract list by the end of this week, but there might be some changes after the upcoming five-Test series against England. The report also mentioned that Shreyas Iyer could return to the contract list after his strong performance in the Champions Trophy 2025, but Ishan Kishan might not make the cut despite doing well in domestic cricket.

A BCCI source mentioned to Sports Tak that they are almost done with the new contracts and will share them publicly soon. After the England tour, we will finalize the contracts based on players’ recent performances, the source said. It seems the list will mostly stay the same, but some new players could be added later on. The coach and selectors have shared their thoughts, and everything should be finalized soon.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is hopeful about having a healthy squad for the series against England. On the Beyond23 Cricket Podcast, he spoke about the need to manage player fitness during the IPL. He said, We need some of these guys to be 100% fit. We just have to make sure they come out of the IPL in good shape. It’s tough because you play today, travel tomorrow, and play again.

Rohit particularly stressed the need for Bumrah and Mohammed Shami to stay injury-free, expressing that a fully fit team would give India a strong chance in the series. I hope these two, along with the others, can finish the IPL without any issues. If we have a healthy squad heading to England, we can have a great series, Rohit added.
