The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has initiated the process of seeking a new lead sponsor for the Indian cricket team. The position, previously held by Ed-Tech company BYJU’S with a USD 35 million deal, is now open for bidding. The BCCI released an official statement inviting reputed entities to participate in the tender process.
Interested parties must submit tenders and the necessary documents and fulfill the eligibility criteria outlined in the Invitation to Tender (ITT). The ITT, containing detailed terms and conditions, can be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (plus any applicable GST). The BCCI has specified that the ITT documents will be shared only after payment confirmation.
To acquire the ITT, interested parties must email the payment details to [email protected], following the instructions provided in Annexure A. It should be noted that purchasing the ITT does not automatically grant the right to bid. Only those entities meeting the eligibility criteria and adhering to the terms and conditions outlined in the ITT will be eligible to submit their bids.
Additionally, the BCCI has mentioned certain brand categories in Annexure B where interested parties are restricted from bidding. Prospective bidders need to review this information carefully. The BCCI reserves the right to cancel or modify the bidding process at any stage without providing specific reasons.
The deadline for purchasing the ITT is June 26, 2023. The BCCI encourages interested entities to submit their bids within the stipulated timeframe and follow the ITT guidelines.
