BCCI Annual Contract: BBCI Announced Annual Contract Of Women’s Cricket, Check Full List With Annual Prize Money

BCCI Announced Annual Player Retainer ship 2022-23 of India Women Senior Team. The BCCI announced the annual (2022-23) contract of women’s cricket on 27 April 2023.

Seventeen players have been given a place in this new central contract list. This contract is divided into three grades: A, B and C. Apart from captain Harmanpreet Kaur, the BCCI has kept only two players in Grade A. Grade A includes Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma.

The BCCI has placed Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma in the first Grade A in the Central Contract List of women cricketers, who will get an amount of Rs 50 lakh annually.

A total of 5 players have a place in Grade B, including Renuka Thakur, Jemima Rodrigues, Shefali Verma, and Rajeshwari Gaikwad. Grade B players will get Rs 30 lakh annually from the BCCI.

Maximum 10 players have a place in Grade C, including Megna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Anjali Sarwani, Pooja Vastrakar, Sabhineni Meghna, Sneh Rana, Radha Yadav, Harleen Deol, Yasika Bhatia. Players of this grade are paid an annual fee of Rs 10 lakh.

As per last year’s contract, Rajeshwari Gaikwad has been shifted from Grade A to Grade B. Apart from this, Pooja Vastrakar moved from B to C grade, and a total of 7 players got their first place in the contract, including Renuka Thakur, Meghna Singh, Devika, Sabbineni Meghna, Anjali Sarwani, Radha Yadav, Yastika Bhatia.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh, earlier in C grade, have now been given B-grade contracts. At the same time, Rajeshwari Gaikwad has been sent from A grade to B grade. Pooja Vastrakar has also been demoted from B to C grade. Renuka is the only player given a B-grade contract, while the rest have been inducted into C grade.

Poonam Yadav, Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Tania Bhatia, Poonam Raut, Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy. These players were out of the central contract.

Because of men’s cricket, BCCI had taken a historic decision that women will now get equal fees as male players, but according to male players, women players are being paid less. In men’s cricket, first-category players will get Rs 7 crore for one year, 5 crore for A category, 3 crore for B category and Rs 1 crore for C category players, while women players will get three grades. Has been kept, starting from Rs 50 lakh.
