On Monday, BCCI announced the squad for the New Zealand tour. The Indian team will take the flight to New Zealand just after the end of the T20 World Cup. Visitors will play 3 T20I matches against the blackcaps. The senior selection committee picks many new faces. Young players will get a chance to prove their brilliance in the swinging condition of New Zealand.
Hardik Pandya will be seen in the role of skipper, and it will be interesting to see how he will take the team on overseas soil and Wicket Keeper batter Rishabh Pant is selected as his deputy. Shubham Gill and Ishan Kishan are the destructive openers in the team, whereas the middle-order batting responsibility will depend on Surya Kumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, and Shreyas Iyer.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the pace bowling attack with Arshdeep Singh, Md. Siraj, HArshal Patel, and young pace battery Umran Malik. The spin bowling attack will be handled by experienced spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and young spinner Washington Sundar. Sanju Samson gets the chance in the squad as the backup wicket-kepper, but it will be interesting to see how the team management treats him.

Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has also announced the ODIs squad for the New Zealand tour. On this tour, Shikhar Dhawan has been assigned as the captain and Rishabh Pant will be the vice-captain. Senior players like Rohit Sharma,Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin have been rested.
Senior selection committee has been testing the young player against Blackcaps, and preparing them for the upcoming ODI world cup 2023. After the T20I series, men in blue will play the ODIs series. First match will be played on 25th November.
