Bangladesh Announce 15 -Member Squad For The 2 T20Is Against England, A Player Comeback After 8 Years

Bangladesh Cricket Team has announced their 15-member squad for the first two T20 international matches against England. For this series, the Asian team has added three new faces.

With the announcement of their 15-member T20I squad for the three T20I series against England that would follow the ODI series, Towhid Hridoy, Rejaur Rahman, and Tanvir Islam received their first call-ups.

Hridoy had a great BPL season, scoring at a strike rate of over 140 and hitting five half-centuries in 12 innings. He received his first ODI call-up for the series against England and was also given a spot in the T20I squad.

The biggest surprise is the name of Rony Talukdar who is making his comeback after 8 years. The batter played his last international match back in 2015.

Talukdar finished the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League season as the second-highest run-scorer, with 425 runs in 13 games at an average of 35.41 and a strike rate of 129.17.

Tanvir, the left-arm spinner, was also called up as a result of his strong performance in the BPL 2023 season when he tied for the most number of wickets in the tournament.
