Axar Patel Reveals DC Captain’s Reaction After BCCI Suspended Him For The Game Against RCB

The skipper of Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant, at the helm of the Delhi Capitals, faced the repercussions of his team’s consistent slow over-rate violations. For this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended him for one game. Moreover, fines of INR 12 lakh, INR 24 lakh, and INR 30 lakh were imposed for three distinct instances of slow over-rate penalties.

Star all-rounder Axar Patel who was designated as the captain of the team, disclosed Rishabh Pant’s response after the appeal was unsuccessful.

“Rishabh Pant was angry at the team’s hotel. He also appealed against the decision because a captain cannot be blamed for the bowlers’ fault,” Axar Patel said.

Rishabh Pant shoulders the responsibility of leading the team and managing the game efficiently as the captain. While the bowlers typically adhere to his instructions, there have been instances where observers have noted that Pant occasionally takes considerable time in setting the field between overs.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Shubman Gill and Sanju Samson of Rajasthan Royals are teetering on the brink of suspension, with both teams found guilty of violating regulations on two separate occasions each.
