Australian Wicketkeeper Tested COVID Positive Before The Clash Against England; What They Will Do Without Any Back-up

Australia have suffered another big blow just before the clash against their-arch rival England. The only wicketkeeper in the team, Mattew Wade, tested covid-19 positive and hasn’t joined the indoor session at the Junction Oval on Thursday afternoon. Previously, Adam Zampa had missed the clash with Sri Lanka after testing positive.

Kangaroos have only a wicketkeeper in their team, but the tournament rule has been changed, and if, COVID Positive player is able to take the field then he can play. And as per Cricket Australia, there are chances that Wade will play the match against England as he has very minor symptoms. He will travel to the ground separately, and will not be able to use the team change room before or during the game. And if Wade will be unable to take the field on Friday then any of Warner or Aaron Finch will do the wicketkeeping duties for the Australian team.

However, the good news for the kangaroos is that their missing spin blower Zampa is set to return against England after testing negative on Thursday. He trained at the Junction Oval, and has done some bowling practice with assistant coach Daniel Vettori.
