Australian great drops a massive warning after BCCI 10 point mandate for the players

Australia’s illustrious Ian Healy has criticized the BCCI’s 10-point decree to players as an admission of erosion of discipline in the national team and insisted other cricketing states “stay vigilant” in not cultivating an analogous situation.

Pointing out after the recent 1-3 thrashing to Australia in the Border-Gavaskar trophy, the BCCI introduced a series of guidelines that made it mandatory for “all players need to stay for the entire duration of scheduled practice sessions and travel together to and from the venue.” But the actual reduction was on the time players would have with their families.

“This shook up Indian cricket. I said it made all reasonable sense coming out of the darker complications which would go on burnt,” Healy told SEN Radio on Tuesday, adding, “The policy about time with family while on tour was affecting how touring cricketers relished the solace they had with their beloveds immediately before and after cricket and training. The players disappeared and mourned in their rooms because they could not be with their respective women and kids.

“There you go,” He added. “Close your mouths and be serious about the argument. Maybe administrators and players have belittled the dream of representing a powerhouse of the sport. Australia plus other nations should indeed be keen-eyed on where things lead without many perceiving damages. Stay vigilant. Take all that into the contest.

After travelling separately with their families to Australia, players had some strict fouls imposed on them. Also used to be, some of the senior cricketers travelled to and fro from stadiums in personal vehicles, which BCCI’s operation team would arrange with the help of state units.

The support staff accused, which is by far waste of BCCI money, has been given a green signal to let his personal manager be in the team hotel and host him in the already occupied hospitality box for national selectors.

The BCCI has now made it mandatory that no personal assistant of either of the support staff or players will stay in the same hotel.
