Australia is a country that has always been associated with the best Test bowlers ever produced, and most of these bowlers have remained in the top of the wicket-takers list in the format. One such bowler is Nathan Lyon, who has just moved to the second place among the most-wicket takers for Australia in Tests. He was not part of the second Ashes 2025 Test match at Brisbane, but he announces his return to the battlefield with a great performance.
Lyon has left behind the great Glenn McGrath as the second-most prolific wicket-taker in the format, and he did so during the 3rd Test match in Adelaide. It was a very good delivery that he bowled to get Ben Duckett out that earned him a place in history.
The following is the list of bowlers who have taken the most wickets for Australia in Tests.
Shane Warne
Shane Warne, the legendary Australian leg-spinner, is the person who has taken the most wickets for Australia in Tests.
