Australia Announces Squad For T20 World Cup 2022 And India Tour, Tim David Got In; David Warner Rested

The T20 World Cup is just a few months away from now and it will be hosted by Australia. Meanwhile, Cricket Australia(CA) has announced the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The highlight of the squad is Tim David who hails from Singapore but was raised in Perth.

Tim David has got the maiden call from the National side and it will be a lifetime opportunity for him to play for a team like Australia.

Australia will also arrive in India in September for a three-match T20I series before the T20 World Cup. For this series, the Australian Squad is almost the same as the T20 World Cup but David Warner is not there for the series Against India.

While talking to Australian media, one of the CA officials said, “David Warner will miss the Indian tour as part of a managed period of preparation for a full summer schedule. Cameron Green has been included in the squad for the Indian T20 Series.”

The chief of the national selection committee of Australian cricket George Bailey said, “This is a similar squad to that which became the first Australian’s men’s team to win a T20 World Cup who are now very excited about playing the tournament at home.”
