Australia Announce The 18-member Squad For The ODI World Cup 2023, Smith, Maxwell Mark Their Comeback

To give final touch to the preparation of the ODI World Cup 2023, Australia will be travelling to India ahead of this marquee event. Cricket Australia has announced the 18-member squad for the three-match ODI series against India.

India and Australia will face each other in three ODIs, with the first one starting on Friday, September 22. The first game will be played at the Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Many players who were injured during the ODI series against South Africa have returned to the squad.

Almost all the players coming here to India will be participating in the ODI World Cup. Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell who were not available for the series against Africa, have returned to the squad.

The team will be led by Pat Cummins with many veterans coming to the side at the right time. Travis Head, who broke his hand, has not been added to the side.

India and Australia will also face each other in their first match of their own ODI World Cup campaign on October 8 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
