The decision is still in suspense regarding the Asia Cup 2023. Although Pakistan has the responsibility of hosting the Asia Cup, according to going on moments between the cricket boards of the Asian countries, it does seem that the Asia Cup will not be held in Pakistan.

The BCCI has already made it clear that the Indian team will not travel to play cricket matches in Pakistan due to security reasons; since then, the matter has been stuck, and now Pakistan or Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has got another blow.

Earlier, India had refused to play in Pakistan, but now two more countries have joined it. In such a situation, there is every possibility that the Asia Cup will be out of Pakistan, and the strategy of doing something else is also being considered.

Asia Cup 2023 is to be held in September. Pakistan hosts it, but BCCI Secretary and President of ACC, i.e., Asia Cricket Council, Jay Shah, has made it clear long ago that the Indian cricket team cannot go to Pakistan. There is a big reason behind this, the mutual relationship between India and Pakistan and the security of Team India. Meanwhile, it is now reported that the Cricket Board of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have also sided with the BCCI.

According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Board have also supported taking this year’s Asia Cup out of Pakistan. In its report, quoting sources, it has been claimed that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are also keen to get the Asia Cup out of Pakistan.

The BCCI said the Asia Cup should be organized outside Pakistan at a neutral venue. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the Asia Cup can be organized again in the UAE, i.e., the United Arab Emirates, where the Asia Cup was held in 2022.

The ICC ODI World Cup will also be held this year, which India hosts. BCCI is busy finalizing its entire schedule. Meanwhile, news is also coming that Pakistan Cricket Board, i.e., PCB, wants BCCI to give a written assurance that after this Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan in 2025.
