Asia Cup 2022 is going to commence on 27th August and now the bad news is coming from the Sri Lankan dressing room. Sri Lanka’s prime fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out of the tournament and Sri Lankan cricket has announced that Nuwan Thusara will make into the squad in place him.
As per the reports, the bowler will miss the Asia Cup due to an injury that he is suffering for months. He has not been healed and for the same, he is not going with the team for the epic Asian cricket saga.
If we talk about the current scenario of the top Asian team then Jasprit Bumrah from India, Shaheen Shah Afridi from Pakistan and now Dushmantha Chameera will miss this tournament due to injury concerns.
Till now Chameera has played 50 international T20 matches for Sri Lanka in which he has got 48 wickets to his name with an economy of 8.14.
