‘Arshdeep Singh Is Throwing No Balls Because…’, Kaif Comes With Legit Explanation

The first T20I between India and New Zealand was played in Ranchi on Friday, January 27, and star Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh made headlines once again for delivering no-balls. The 23-year-old pacer, who received harsh criticism for bowling up to five no-balls during the second T20 international between India and Sri Lanka on January 5, overstepped once in the first game of the series against New Zealand.

However, it turned out to be expensive because it occurred on the first ball of the last over, which New Zealander Daryl Mitchell took advantage of by hitting for a six. The Kiwi team’s momentum was turned around by the massive shot on the first ball of the final, and with the help of two additional sixes and a four, they scored a total of 27 runs and put 176 runs on the board, which ultimately proved to be enough to win the match.

Now, Arshdeep Singh holds the record of most number of no-balls in T20Is. Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has stated a concerning statement regarding the pacer’s bowling, leading him to believe that the pacer faces the problem of overstepping.

Kaif claims that Arshdeep’s issues are being brought on by his unnecessarily long run-up.

While having a discussion on star sports,”Arshdeep has a longer run-up, which itself means he might face stepping issues. He’s also wasting energy there. So, the main reason behind those overstepped no-balls is his long run-up. And as he changes sides too much, he sometimes goes around the wicket, sometimes over. So, he needs to work on the basics and stay a bit relaxed. He is a good bowler but didn’t have a great day.”

The 2nd T20I between India and New Zealand will be played on 27th at Ekana Sports City.
