Another Important Initiative By BCCI For Women’s Cricket, Announced Bumper Increase In Prize Money Of Domestic Tournaments

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has increased the prize money for India’s domestic cricket tournament. The prize money of the team who will win the Ranji Trophy tournament has been doubled. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the prize money of the winner and the second team has increased up to three times. There has also been a bumper increase in the amount of women’s cricket. It has been increased up to eight times.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah informed about the slab of new prize money through Twitter. He told that till now, the winning team of the Ranji Trophy was given an amount of 2 crores as prize money. It has been increased to 5 crores. The team losing the final match will now be given Rs 3 crore instead of Rs 1 crore. The team that reaches the semi-finals will also be entitled to Rs 50 lakh.

The prize money of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the second biggest domestic cricket tournament, has been increased more than three times. Earlier, an amount of 30 lakhs was given to the winning team. Now one crore rupees will be given to the winner. Similarly, the second number team will be given 50 lakhs instead of 15 lakhs.

The prize money has increased up to three times in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The winning team will get Rs 80 lakh instead of Rs 25 Lakh.

The Senior Women’s ODI Trophy winner will be given Rs 50 lakh instead of six. That is, women have gained eight times in 50 overs cricket. The second number team will now be given Rs 25 lakh instead of three. In the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, this amount has been increased from Rs 5 to Rs 40 lakh. The losing team in the final will now be given Rs 20 lakh instead of three.
