The devastating left-handed batter of Sunrisers Hyderabad has been phenomenal for his team in the ongoing season of IPL 2024. He along with his opening partner Travis Head have done miracles with the bat, especially in the powerplay overs. Sharma also played an important inning to take the second spot in the points table of IPL 2024.
In a conversation with local kids in Hyderabad, the 23-year-old left-handed batsman was asked about the toughest bowler he has faced so far. He mentioned a 30-year-old Indian fast bowler who has been almost unplayable in the current IPL season.
Abhishek and Heinrich Klaasen of SRH lauded MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah and rated the pacer as the toughest bowler he has ever faced.
Mumbai Indians had a very disappointing season in IPL 2024, the team failed to reach the playoffs but once again Jasprit Bumrah impressed everyone with his lethal bowling. He grabbed 20 wickets in 13 games and for the last game, he was rested.
“At this point, Bumrah is the toughest I’ve faced. He is amazing; he executes every delivery, and it is challenging to catch up to his slow ball. There are no cues from him. There are many bowlers that you can see in some way, but Bumrah is killing it, so right now, in my opinion, Bumrah is the hardest bowler to face,” claimed Klaasen.
Abhishek Sharma also added, “I would also agree the same as he is bowling great. In addition to bouncing the ball, he is bowling yorkers. It is challenging for a batsman to predict what a bowler would bowl, so Jasprit Bumrah is my choice as well.”
