Abhishek Sharma drops a massive statement after his sensational knock in the opening T 20 encounter against England says ” I was prepared for”

It was yet another foamy trouble from the instigative sprat as Abhishek Sharma, who was just ‘ expressing myself’ by illuminating the Kolkata sky, got back into form with a comfortable 7- gate palm against England in the first T20I.

Spinner Varun Chakravarthy and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh between them took five lattices indeed as England was sailed out for 132 after concluding to field first by the Men in Blue.

Abhishek came up with all ordnance blazing when India started fur. He lost two of his fur mates, and the left- hander smacked a 20- ball fifty, with eight sixes, while hitting five fours for his side in chasing the target in 12.5 overs and 1- 0 lead in the five- match series.

“ Our bowlers have also sailed well. They have really sailed good. I allowed

we’d chase nearly around 160- 170, but our guys also sailed well,” beamed Abhishek in a post-match interview.

“ Special citation to commander and trainer. They’ve given us a lot of freedom. The way they talk to these youthful boys, it’s tremendous.”

Abhishek opened with Sanju Samson to see off the chase for India and also turned to see the 26 quick- fire runs scored by Samson. Sanju hit poor Gus Atkinson for 22 runs off the first over.

“ We( other batters) were always talking to each other. I enjoy from the other end when Sanju is fur,” Abhishek gleefully blatted.

But with the scrubbing of Samson, all Abhishek’s run making ranged from fast runs of further than 79 in just the first over in only 34 balls where he hit 5 boundaries and 8 sixes in it.

Abhishek Sharma scored 96 runs in aggregate against England. In fact, nearly 87 of these runs were scored through boundaries – 68 out of 79. Only Rohit Sharma’s innings against SL in Indore in 2017 where he scored 108/118 of runs just through boundaries had a advanced proportion of runs from boundaries( 75 runs).

“When it comes to finding self-expression, the plan we had on board seemed easier to execute. I was immensely blessed by the IPL in my cricket career. I have never before seen such an environment in a team. Such occasions where the captain and coach tell the players directly to play freely don’t happen all that often. I was prepared for what the English pacers had to offer,” said Abhishek.

This means that India is now 1-0 up in this series, which is made of five matches of T20I, where the next match will be played on Friday in Chennai.
