A Hundred to Remember: Yashasvi Jaiswal Acknowledges ‘Sanga Sir and Sanju Bhai’

Rajasthan Royals Pocket Size Dynamite Yashasvi Jaiswal is thankful to Sangakkara and Sanju Samson for giving him opportunities, as the southpaw scored his first IPL hundred of the season. Jaiswal helped the Rajasthan Royals beat the Mumbai Indians by nine wickets.

After the match got over, Jaiswal spoke to broadcasters, saying that he focused more on playing orthodox cricket shots and enjoyed his stay at the crease.

Yashasvi Jaiswal said, “Thank you so much. I really enjoyed it from the start, and I made sure I was watching the ball properly and playing proper cricketing shots. I’m trying to do what I am doing well; some days it comes good and some days it doesn’t; I’m not thinking much.”

The star opener, after his impressive performance against England, was not able to deliver in the IPL before this innings. However, a good knock from Jaiswal was just around the corner.

Jaiswal also thanked his seniors for backing him continuously and helping him in his practice session.
Jaiswal said, “I want to thank all my seniors for the way they have guided me. I want to thank the Rajasthan Royals management, especially Sanga sir and Sanju bhai, for giving me opportunities. I go out and give my best in the practice sessions, and I’m so happy today.”

Jaiswal became the first player to score a hundred before turning 23. He has scored two IPL hundreds so far, and both of them have come against the Mumbai Indians.
