2023 ODI World Cup: Ravi Shastri Gives A Serious Warning To Rohit Sharma And Co. Before The Semifinal Against NZ

The Indian team has displayed a remarkable performance at the ODI World Cup 2023, maintaining an undefeated record after eight matches. They are widely considered as strong contenders to secure their third ODI world title.

As the tournament approaches its knockout stages, former Indian cricketer and ex-coach Ravi Shastri shared his insights on the team’s prospects. He cautioned that if the Indian side fails to clinch the title in 2023 they might have to wait for another three to four World Cups before having a realistic chance of securing a championship.

“This country is going mad. The last time they won was 12 years ago. They have an opportunity to do it again. The way they are playing, this is probably their best chance. If they miss out this time, they would probably have to wait another three World Cups before even thinking of trying to win it. The pool of players is such that 7-8 players are at their peak,” Shastri said on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.

In the points table, India is sitting at the top position with 16 points. There is still one match to go which will be played against the Netherlands today(November 12).
