2023 ODI World Cup: ‘I Would Say It’s A Cakewalk’, Robin Uthappa Praises Team India After Win Against Pakistan

Former Indian opener Robin Uthappa has said that the match between India and Pakistan seemed an easy win for men in blue. In the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Rohit Sharma and company crushed Pakistan by seven wickets.

In the high voltage match, India managed to dismiss Pakistan for just 191 runs due to a disastrous collapse in their middle and late-order batting. India then secured a convincing victory, with their captain, Rohit Sharma, aggressively scoring 86 runs off 63 deliveries during the chase.

In a post-game interview with India Today, Uthappa had nothing but praise for the Indian team as they maintained their dominant performance in the 2023 World Cup.

The batter said,”‘I’d say it was a walk in the park. It was an easy win for India. Just the way Rohit and Shubman started the innings for India, they just dictated terms. It was incredible to watch Rohit bat. He is such a difficult player to stop when he is in good form and it was just the kind of start that India wanted.”

Uthappa feels that the team has achieved all the necessities to become a powerful team. They have already won three out of three matches and are on the verge of qualifying into the semifinal.

“Shreyas Iyer batted well, Virat Kohli as well. Just all the boxes ticked and a convincing win, which takes India to a very formidable position in the points table right now which is good for India,” he added.
