India is gonna face the mighty England on Sunday and before it, a piece of sad news is coming out from the Indian dressing room. Star Indian all-rounder who got an injury in the game against Bangladesh in Pune, is ruled out from the game against Jos Buttler and the team.
The 30-year-old cricketer did not accompany the team to Dharamsala, as he received medical advice from the Board of Control for Cricket in India recommending rest. There is a high probability that he will rejoin the team in preparation for the match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.
The report suggests that the injury is not severe, but the management is not inclined to hurry Pandya’s return.
While talking to CricketNext, one of the BCCI officials said, “Yes, Hardik is likely to miss the next match vs England in Lucknow. It is more of a precaution at this stage and nothing serious.”
India continued their winning streak by defeating New Zealand in their previous match and subsequently had a two-day break in the scenic hilly city. As reported by CricketNext on October 23, the Indian cricket team is scheduled to remain in the city for an additional two days before they resume their World Cup campaign. On October 25, Rohit Sharma and the team will depart for Lucknow for their upcoming match against England.
