2023 ODI World Cup: Absolute Carnage By Klaasen, Jansen, and Hendricks, SA Set Massive Target Of 400 Runs Against England

In the 20th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, South Africa is dominating England in the match being played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. In this match, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bat first, and while batting African batter posted a target of 400 runs at the loss of seven wickets in all 50 overs.

This South Africa inning was well crafted with so many batters but it was Heinrich Klaasen who stole the show for the team and got a sensational hundred and got 109 runs in just 67 balls. During this inning, he gathered twelve fours and four sixes.

Apart from Klaasen, Reeza Hendricks also got 85 runs in 75 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes. Marco Jansen also played a brilliant knock of 75 runs in just 42 balls which includes three fours and six sixes.

For England, Reece Topley got three wickets, and Gus Atkinson and Adil Rashid got two wickets each.

The score of 399 runs is the highest total for South Africa against England in ODI history.

In this match, the regular captain of South Africa Temba Bavuma is not playing. In place of him, Aiden Markram is holding the captaincy charges.
