2 Matches rescheduled In IPL 2024, This Is The Major Reason

The Indian Premier League (IPL) announced on Tuesday, April 2, that two matches have been rescheduled. Kolkata was unable to host their home game against Rajasthan on April 17 due to Ram Navami celebrations.

To adjust for this change, the IPL management committee moved KKR’s home game against RR to a day earlier and pushed Gujarat’s home game against Delhi, originally set for April 16, to April 17.

The Eden Gardens will host a highly anticipated match between two teams that have had a strong start to the IPL 2024 season on April 16. The Narendra Modi Stadium will host Gujarat’s home game against Delhi on April 15.

Kolkata has had an impressive start to the IPL 2024 season, winning their initial two matches. They started their campaign with a victory over Hyderabad in a high-scoring match at Eden Gardens. Kolkata defended a total of 208 runs against SunRisers, who nearly reached the target. In their second match, Kolkata comfortably chased down a target of 183 runs against Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, achieving the victory in just 16.5 overs.

Kolkata is currently in Visakhapatnam, where they will face Delhi on Wednesday, April 3rd.

Kolkata will journey to Chennai to compete against the Super Kings on April 6th, and then they will return to the Eden Gardens for a home game against Lucknow on April 14th. Due to the schedule alteration, Kolkata will have a day’s rest between their match against Lucknow and Rajasthan at the Eden Gardens.
