The schedule for the Asia Cup 2022 has been released, and India – Pakistan clash will happen on August 28 in Dubai. The tournament will start on August 27 and conclude on September 11. The opening match would be host Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan. The Asia Cup will be held in the UAE, as previously announced but hosting rights with Sri Lanka. Due to Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic problems, the tournament was shifted.
India is part of Group A playing its first match against Pakistan followed by the winning team of the Qualifier round. The top 2 teams of the group stage will advance to the Super 4 phase. Where each team will play three-match each and the top 2 teams will qualify for the finals.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced the schedule from his Twitter handle,” “The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup,”
