The 20-year-old right-handed batter gained attention during the IPL 2024 auctions in December. The all-rounder sparked a bidding war, with teams expressing significant interest in securing his services. Despite setting his base price at Rs 20 lakh, Sameer Rizvi found himself in a competitive bidding scenario between Gujarat Titans and CSK. Ultimately, his price soared to Rs 8.40 crore which made him the most expensive uncapped Indian player in the 2024 auction.
